Speaking of Health Care...
Irregardless of your position on health care reform, of greater concern to me is reforming how we care about our health.
America is in the midst of an epidemic when it comes to how we approach our own health. We are eating poorly, sedentary at our desks, and by and large we are still waiting for someone to take care of our health for us. We turn to diet pills, crazy fads, potentially harmful weight loss methods, and it's really not suprising why.
Losing weight is hard work. It takes personal effort. It is often inconvenient. However, if we want to really effect real health care reform, it has to start here. With you and me, working our bodies, and caring about what goes in them. If you want to help the people around you, inspire and motivate them with your determination and hard work. Share your time to get out and walk with them, share recipes, share your struggles, and share your success.
Not until we take responsibility for our health, and the part that we play in it, can we truly change the future of health care in America. Can you imagine how competitve health care providers would have to become if we didn't need them so much? What if you only went to the doctor for a physical once a year. What if we drastically reduced the numbers of Type 2 Diabetics, hypertensives, and cardiac patients simply by shedding unneeded pounds and radically changing how we look at food.
What if we truly ate to live, instead of lived to eat?
Now more than ever, I feel a personal motivation to be an example for my family and my community. I had a great year last year, averaging one pound a week lost forever through a combination of getting more active and eating fewer calories. I'm not stopping there though, and I challenge you all to come along with me.

I am encouraged daily by the stories that RightSize users share with us. So many people are finding success one pound at a time. If you want to help others make the decision to commit to weight loss, and have a story to share, I would ask you to share in our Facebook community or on Twitter (#RightSizeStory). Let's start a weight loss revolution. I've been losing weight without hunger for a year thanks to RightSize, and I'd like for all of you to join me.
Looking forward to hearing even more great stories!
