My name is Lisa. I am 36 years old, I am overweight and I have made the commitment to change my life and live a life of healthy habits. One night I heard a woman on television say, "I wish there was a special pill that would make all this fat go away". I, however, do not.

Nothing would feel better to me than achieving a goal that I truly earned.I don’t want liposuction. I don’t want a body wrap. And I certainly do not believe a special pill will do the work for me.

I want results, and I want to earn them. I overeat and I do not exercise regularly. Therein lies the problem. Weight loss is Math 101 – You burn more calories than you consume.

I do believe that certain foods are triggers. Protein suppresses the appetite while simple carbohydrates enhance it. A balanced diet and a nutritionally sound appetite controller, such as RightSize®, can aid in my journey to drop weight.

I am also a firm believer in mind over matter. We all know what to do to lose weight, so why is it so difficult, and why isn’t everyone the ideal weight? Maybe there are others that eat for the wrong reasons, like me. I’ve treated food as a crutch. I will eat as a result of stress, boredom, and worry – I’ll even eat if I’m happy! Food is fuel, not a crutch. Once that is mastered, the rest is simple.

I’ve sampled the RightSize® product and thought, "Wow! This is the way to do it!" Unlike some other products on the market, it has exceptional nutritional value and it fills me up like none other. I’ve chosen RightSize® because it is so yummy! I called the folks at RightSize® for the challenge. I didn’t want compensation, I didn’t want a bonus – I wanted RESULTS. I told them that I planned to use the product as the tool I was looking for to make my reduced-calorie program more comfortable and attainable. I told them that I was up for the challenge and that I wanted to post my thoughts weekly so that others could experience the weight loss process with me.

I can’t remember anything triggering my determination. If that were the case, I would have dropped weight that moment my jeans didn’t button, and that was about a year ago! No, I’m afraid it’s a little more complicated than that. Somehow I let myself go, and it has finally, thankfully, occurred to me.

I am 5’10" and my ideal weight is anywhere between 145 and 160 pounds. I have set my lifetime achievement goal at 152 pounds. I’m choosing this weight because part of my goal is muscle toning, and I need to account for muscle weight.

Previously I mentioned that I have made the commitment to change my life. I had originally written that "my life will change", then realized that it’s me who’s piloting this program. It’s important to remember that we have complete control over certain factors in our lives, and, unless there is a predestined medical condition, we have complete control over our weight.

I hope that you can take this journey with me and follow my progress. Frankly, I could use the support. But more importantly I want you to learn from my experiences. Let’s make this lifestyle change together and have fun in the process!
